Hi everyone, I hope you are all okay and not feeling too down with all this awfully wet weather we are getting at the moment.
Last year I was training to be a Sports Massage Therapist and both my theory and practical exams were December, which meant it turned out to be a very busy month for me. However, I am really pleased to announce that I passed and am now fully qualified! It’s so exciting and I have been busy helping get my therapy room ready and trying to get my business up and running.
Rodger and Jack have had a little holiday with just a bit of hacking to keep them ticking over. We did have a fun day out just before Christmas, thanks to our favourite Tickhill Riding Club. Rodger took part in some showjumping - only small fences and in fancy dress with a dressage saddle 😂. We finished 2nd and 3rd in our classes and Rodger had a great time doing something completely different.
Jack has qualified for the British Dressage Winter Regional Championships on the 1st of February, so we have taken him out for a quick run through a couple of tests at Vale View. To say we haven't done much with him recently and he has never been to Vale View before, he was a really good boy for me.
My first test was a little tense with a couple of mistakes as he was a bit distracted by the arena. We still managed a +67% score, our second test was so much better as he was much more settled. This was also his regionals test so I'm really happy with a score of 69% under a list 1 judge, but as always, there is still plenty more to work on. I need to keep going with him now and get ready for our biggest outing to date.
I will keep you all updated on our progress and please keep your fingers crossed that all goes well at our regionals debut.
