Hello everyone,
It's all change since my last blog!
Sadly I had to make the hard decision to say goodbye to Gwen. It wasn't an easy one to make, but with Peggy's arrival, two youngsters that need producing and a family member’s long-term injury, there simply wasn't enough hours in day.
It's never easy to part with a horse, especially one that you have produced yourself since a 3yo. We will always have the most amazing memories of her. She is the pony who started our showing adventures 6 years ago and we have come such a long way since then.
Gwen has gone to the best home and will continue doing what she loves in the show ring with a junior rider and I'm excited to follow their journey.
In the meantime, mum has kindly transferred the ownership of Hazel to me. I love producing youngsters and I'm excited to see what she will do next. She's only 4 and after lightly backing her last year, I’ve started breaking her in fully. So far she's been an absolute delight, trotting and cantering around the field, learning to jump and pole work.
She's currently having a small holiday before I pick her back up again. Ben will continue to show her in hand next year and I will focus on the ridden classes and letting her see the world.
Our main goal will be Royal Welsh in 2026, so watch this space.
