Hello everyone,
After a long three months with my broken jaw, I'm excited to say things are on the up and I've finally been given the all clear to get back riding, which has been amazing and just in time for summer.
We have had a busy start to the show season with the girls, and with me being out of action, Ben has been extremely busy, but has done so well.
With Skye now retired from showjumping we took her out to her first ever showing show and she surprised us all by winning her class and winning the prize for best over 25. I'm super pleased with how she's looking and feeling and will take her out again soon.
May saw us head down to our favourite place, The Royal Welsh showground for the Spring Festival and thankfully we were blessed with sunshine.
Gwen was in great form, which resulted in a 2nd place in a strong class which I was delighted with. She's had some good results this year and I can't wait for July, where she will make a return visit to The Royal Welsh Show.
Mrs Jones has also had a great start to the season with some good placings and wins and more recently won her first ever in hand championship. She's growing up so fast and it's hard to believe our little foal who we purchased at 5 months old will be 4 next year.
And finally, Hazel, who has never been out before, has started her showing career, being absolutely perfect at each outing. She's also won and been in the ribbons which is fabulous. We have now started the ground work with her, in preparation to break her in which is exciting.
Hopefully, once our fitness is back up, I can start to plan some ridden competitions.
Thanks
Mel
