Me and Chester have had another fantastic month of outings and also a well-earned week of holiday for Chester.

We attended our last Norton District Riding Club show of the season. We booked in attempting the ridden class for our second time. This time Chester was a lot better and I managed trot and canter when I asked for it, not just zooming around. We came 2nd in a very good class so another rosette for the board.

Chester also had a holiday, a week off work doing nothing, just plenty of grazing in the field, some chill time, as we had been working hard on our flat work lately.

After his break we got back straight into it booking our 3rd attempt at dressage. White House Farm was the venue and we were booked in for Intro B and Intro C. We got placed in both classes which was a huge surprise as Chester was easily distracted by the horses warming up in the jump paddock.

We got a 3rd place rosette and a fantastic 2nd place rosette. Just wow! Very overwhelmed with the results.

We also blew the dust and cobwebs off our XC outfit to attend the Hackthorn Hunter Trails. Me and Chester did this event with my little sister on her youngster. We didn’t get placed as we were too slow but we went for experience and we laughed, smiled and giggled a lot that day.

It was a fantastic venue to attend, such a lovely place. Got us some practice in ready for our next hunter trails so keep checking in to see the outcome….
