BRACKEN’S BLOG

Hi everyone,

For those of you who don’t know me my name is Bracken Parkhouse. I am 11 years old and have been riding since the age of 18 months.

My first pony was called Valentine. She was a 12hh Welsh Section A grey mare who taught me loads. From the age of 7 I decided to concentrate solely on dressage.

I am currently competing at BD novice-elementary on my 11hh Welsh Section A chestnut gelding, Charlie. For the last 3 years Charlie and I have represented BD Northern region at the Inter-Regionals and last year we represented England at the BD Home Internationals at Rockrose in Scotland.

I also have a 12.2hh Welsh Section C chestnut mare called Sara, who I have mostly competed at BRC events locally and nationally. This pony also loves to jump.

Rodger, aka Bathleyhills Vue Parfaite, is a 14.2hh buckskin German riding pony, bred by Penny Walster from her stallion Bathleyhills Monet, with whom I eventually hope to compete internationally, when he is a little older.

Over the next couple of weeks, Charlie and I will be ramping up the training as we have both been selected again to ride for England in Dorset.

I’m looking forward to being part of the #Equiglofamily. If you see me at a competition, please come and have a chat where I can explain more about this amazing feed.

See you all soon,
Bracken x
