Bracken’s Blog

8 April 2020

Hi everyone, I hope you are all keeping safe and well during this time of coronavirus.

Unfortunately, as you will be aware that all competitions have been cancelled for now, even going for training with Gill Liggins my trainer has stopped, so now it’s down to my mum and myself to train at home with Rodger, although its going really well.

We are working on getting the Travers even more established to help me with my Half Pass. Also our Simple changes are an area that I am working on. Hopefully I will be able to reach my New Year’s resolution of getting to medium level before the end of this year (if we manage to get out competing).

Before we had the lockdown, I had been riding Samantha Britton’s 4 year old pony with the aim of doing the young pony classes at Premier League competitions – unfortunately this has also stopped until we are able to get to go and ride her again.

I am enjoying being home schooled. My favourite is the daily PE sessions. I am working through my regular school work too.

My awesome dad made me a solarium for Rodger recently – he absolutely loves it. I can feel a big difference when I ride him after he has had 20 minutes under the infra-red lamps. As you can see, he likes to chill out under them.

I would like to wish you all the very best, stay safe and well and look after yourselves.

Best wishes, love Bracken
