At the beginning of August Charlie and I took a 6 hour journey to Moreton Equestrian Centre in Dorset to compete for England with BD northern region. We spent 4 lovely but excessively hot days there with trot up on Friday, passed and safely through.
On Saturday I was on around midday, it was about 33 degrees and boy was I feeling it, to the point I was unwell. Unfortunately our test didn’t go to plan as I made a couple of mistakes that proved very costly.
Sunday I was feeling much better and we were on around 10am, it was much cooler and more pleasant, we pulled off a lovely little test and I was very pleased with him. Overall it wasn’t quite the result I would have hoped for but it’s not every day you get to ride for your country and that’s an amazing experience.
During the weekend I handed out lots of samples of EquiGlo with loads of great feedback and interest.
From my little pony to my bigger one, Rodger and I have now started training together and we competed in our first ever BD competition together. Very pleased with his scores and more so his maturity for a young pony. Looking forward to our future, onwards and upwards.
